Feed My Sheep
Thank you for the generosity you have shown as the month of August kicked-off Feed My Sheep month for EMI. As you go shopping please continue to keep our shopping cart in mind and pick up some extra pasta and sauce, breakfast foods, canned meats, peanut butter, jelly, instant potatoes, or boxed meals.
Box Tops for Education
As part of our growing involvement with Foley Elementary School and its neighbor Foley Middle School a box has been placed in the Parish Hall for your Box Tops for Education. The tops look like this - - and are found on a variety of products. By bringing them in you help FES and FMS raise money for much needed supplies.
We are still recycling cans and pop-tops
Soda cans and pop-tops are still being accepted as a way to raise funds for our EYC and the Ronald McDonald House (respectively). Please bring your recyclables by the office.
Habitat News
The group from Minnesota came to find a slab and left a house (and a $10,000 check for Habitat of Baldwin County)!!!! Now it is your turn to help finish the house at 617 W. Magnolia. Volunteer workdays are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 8 til 2 each day. Drywall and Hardyboard hanging are on the agenda this week.
ACTS II
All Churches Together – a ministry of EMI – will gather at St. Paul’s next Thursday, August 21st, at 7pm. ACTS II is an ecumenical community outreach group that tackles projects of importance to our local community. The current project is the growing homeowner’s insurance crisis; something which affects us all.
